After the Reserve Financial institution of India (RBI) introduced reduce in repo charges, the inventory market indiced nosedived. Auto, financial institution, FMCG, energy, metallic, realty, healthcare, capital items indices plunged 1-3 %. BSE midcap index shed 2.63 % and the smallcap index fell 2.11 %.
At shut, the Sensex was down 1,306.96 factors or 2.29 % at 55,669.03. Nifty was down 391.50 factors or 2.29 % at 16,677.60. About 825 shares have superior, 2454 shares declined, and 98 shares are unchanged.
Amongst prime laggards, Apollo Hospitals, Adani Ports, Hindalco Industries, Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv. Gainers have been ONGC, Britannia Industries, Energy Grid Company, NTPC and Kotak Mahindra Financial institution.
