Beginning June 1, GreenCell Mobility, providing electrical mobility as service platform, introduced it will run the primary intercity e-bus for Maharashtra Regional State Transport (MSRTC) from town.
Marking the commemoration day of MSRTC’s basis, the bus could be working on the Pune- Ahmednagar route. These electrical buses, dubbed ‘Shivai’ can be launched throughout the state in phases, it mentioned in a press release.
GreenCell Mobility could be deploying 50 such electrical buses for intercity journey throughout Maharashtra for MSRTC within the cities of Pune, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Nasik and Solapur quickly.

GreenCell Mobility will create ‘inexperienced routes’ with Twelve-meter buses within the state; over time 10 buses will ply between Pune and Aurangabad as an extension of the Pune- Ahmednagar route; whereas 12 buses will run on the Pune – Kolhapur route; 18 buses will function between Pune – Nasik and 10 buses between Pune- Solapur. These buses will be capable to run 250 km in single cost and can be fitted with Li-ion battery with quick charging functionality (90-120 minutes). These can be Commonplace Luxurious coaches’ appropriate for native transport and may have an air-conditioned cabin. A complete of three,743 tons of CO2 zero tailpipe emissions could be prevented over lifetime of those buses.
Electrical bus adoption has gained traction in India and a number of cities with state governments having launched into the journey of electrifying their bus-based transport system.
