WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), a senior member of the Senate Small Enterprise Committee, participated in a panel on Wednesday with Iowa feminine entrepreneurs to debate the challenges girls face as small enterprise homeowners. Ernst was joined by Jill Godby, founder and proprietor of Jill’s Homestead in Chariton, Iowa, and Eileen Gannon, founder and CEO of Sunday Evening Meals in Des Moines, Iowa.
“Touring throughout the state, I hear tales of numerous girls entrepreneurs who’ve taken a leap of religion and entered the market,” stated Ernst. “In Iowa, small companies make up 98 % of our financial system, so it’s crucial for our communities that we guarantee a stage enjoying subject for our small companies to compete within the market.”
