West Discom managing director Amit Tomar stated that circumstances of energy theft and different irregularities had been resolved by way of mutual understanding throughout Lok Adalat held in 15 district below its jurisdiction on Saturday.
He stated {that a} whole of two,996 circumstances involving round Rs 4.61 crore had been resolved in a single day.
The corporate gave an exemption of Rs 1.71 crore to customers as per Part 126 and Part 135 of the Electrical energy Act 2003.
Almost 3000 workers of all 438 centres of the corporate had been engaged in preparations for the Lok Adalat.
Within the circumstances of pre-litigation stage, exemption has been given to all home, all agricultural, non-domestic customers as much as 5 kW and industrial customers as much as 10 HP load of low-pressure class.
On the pre-litigation stage, 30 per cent rebate on the quantity of civil legal responsibility and 100 per cent on the quantity of curiosity was given. In circumstances of litigation stage, 20 per cent rebate was given on the quantity of civil legal responsibility and 100 per cent on the quantity of curiosity. After the prescribed exemption, the applicant with the settlement needed to pay the remaining invoice, assessed civil legal responsibility and many others in a lump sum.
